Overview

The department is currently providing the institution with core facilities that allow the use of model organisms in any context of basic research, or translational and clinical research.

Mouse Genetics Shared Research Facility (MG-SFR)

  1. The Mouse Genetics Shared Research Facility has been established to provide the Mount Sinai research community with access to state-of-the-art facilities for the production of transgenic and knockout mice, as well as related rodent embryology techniques.

Drosophila Core Facility (D-CF)

  1. The Drosophila Core Facility has been established to provide the Mount Sinai research community with the infrastructure to conduct genetic experiments using Drosophila melanogaster as model system.

High-Content Screening Shared Research Facility (HCS-SRF)

  1. The High-Content Screening Shared Research Facility has been established to provide the Mount Sinai research community with access to state-of-the-art facilities for Cell-based screens of siRNA and compound libraries using automated, quantitative microscopy.
